Tricia Keane is the Director of Land Use & Planning for Council District 11. Tricia graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a double major in English and German and a minor in Political Science. Tricia graduated Order of the Coif from the UCLA School of Law in 2001 and was Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Law Review.
Prior to joining the CD 11 team, Tricia was a Senior Deputy County Counsel for Los Angeles County where she advised the Regional Planning Department, Regional Planning Commission, and Board of Supervisors on wide-ranging land use and planning matters, including advising the Commission and the Board at public hearings on planning-related projects. Before joining the County Counsel’s office in 2007, Tricia clerked for Judge James Gwin, in the U.S. District Court, and then spent several years in private practice at the law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP, advising clients regarding environmental and land use regulations related to private and institutional development projects.
Tricia is active in the local community, currently serving as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles and as President of the Board of Directors of the Arroyo Food Co-op, a grassroots, community-based effort to bring a member-owned, sustainable grocery store to the greater Pasadena area. Tricia is also a Commissioner on the City of Pasadena’s Recreation and Parks Commission and has dogs the size of ponies. In her spare time, Tricia is busy converting her entire backyard into a garden and is an avid ultra-distance runner.rav
